Compassionate, Trauma-Informed Therapy for Adults in New York

Even if your life looks “fine” on the outside, you may feel anxious, self-critical, or overwhelmed inside. Therapy can help you understand patterns that once kept you safe in the past but may now feel heavy or limiting. Together, we can create space to slow down and feel seen, allowing you to relate to yourself with more compassion.

How I Help

No matter your circumstances, you’re not broken, and the patterns you may be struggling with developed for good reasons. Themes of anxiety, perfectionism, self-criticism, and shame all help people adapt and survive. Even the most unwanted behaviors once helped you stay safe or feel valued.

But if these patterns no longer serve you, they deserve witnessing and understanding instead of judgment. Therapy can help you explore their origins and how to relate to them differently. This is how meaningful change unfolds.

Therapy with me is a warm and non-judgmental space to slow down and build a kinder relationship with yourself. My goal is to help you feel seen and supported as you integrate new ways of being.

Who I Work With

Anxiety and social anxiety: I work with adults experiencing anxiety in social settings, work, or relationships. You may spend a lot of time worrying about how you come across to others or replaying conversations afterward. Therapy can help you understand these patterns and feel more grounded and present in your interactions with others.

Trauma and shame: I support people living with unresolved trauma and shame. This can show up as a harsh inner voice or a pervasive sense that something is wrong with you, even if your life appears stable. Therapy offers space to gently process these experiences and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

High achievement and perfectionism: Many of my clients are high achievers. You may hold yourself to very high standards and struggle to slow down or rest. Therapy can help you understand where this pressure comes from and develop a sense of worth that isn’t tied to constant performance.

Relationship challenges: I work with people navigating relationship difficulties, including concerns around closeness, boundaries, or emotional safety. You may feel uncertain about what you want or find yourself repeating familiar patterns. Therapy can help you sort through what you need from both yourself and others.

Psychedelic integration: I provide support for individuals seeking to integrate their experiences in a grounded and thoughtful manner. Psychedelic integration specifically focuses on making sense of what emerged and how it connects to your emotional life. This work can help translate insight into lasting change while prioritizing safety and self-understanding.

How I Work

Therapy with me is deeply collaborative and paced to your needs. I will approach our relationship with curiosity and compassion rather than any pressure to meet specific outcomes. This is your time, and you deserve to feel seen and supported as you begin making changes.

My work is informed by compassion-focused, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and trauma-focused approaches. When helpful, I also use cognitive strategies to support anxiety and overthinking. Because your input always matters, we will check in regularly about what feels useful and adjust our work together as needed.
